It can then automatically change its path and clean the objects without a pause.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, however, it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is eye-catching and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, that also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to return the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-refilling.

The only downside I've discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these through the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor battery life and component maintenance. You'll have to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.
